FSSP | Corpus Christi Chapel Study
Connecting with its Traditional Past
Through the prayerful intercession of St. Joseph, Corpus Christi Chapel has found a new home. It is a place where the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered, along with the beauty of the blessed Sacraments, preserving tradition and history.
Under the guidance of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter and Fr. Timothy van Zee, the prospect of transforming your new building into a traditional Catholic sacred space, with its potential for beauty, fills me with great excitement. I believe that relocating the traditional Mass, its priest, and parishioners into such an extraordinary holy place will not only honor and glorify God but also create a truly meaningful and deeper spiritual experience for generations to come.

Exterior Design Importance
The exterior design influences the perception of sacredness and spiritual ambiance that individuals experience as they approach the church. By integrating elements such as a prominent entrance, a bell-tower steeple, and Catholic symbols, you create a visual and experiential journey that helps individuals transition from the secular world into a sacred space. This deliberate design fosters an atmosphere conducive to prayer and adoration.
Coherence with Interior Design
Renovating the exterior can provide an opportunity to re-evaluate and improve the interior design of the church. By aligning the exterior and interior aesthetics, you create a harmonious and unified environment. Consistency in design elements, such as architectural style, colors, lighting, and sacred art, helps to create a seamless transition from the exterior to the interior, enhancing the overall experience for the faithful.
Community Engagement
A visually appealing and distinctive exterior can attract attention from the local community and beyond. This increased visibility can lead to greater community engagement, as people may be drawn to the services hosted in the renovated church. The exterior design becomes a conversation starter and a beacon that invites individuals to explore the richness of FSSP, and the Catholic faith.
Interior Design
This initial study aims to transform the exterior and interior of a non-denominational structure into an inviting sacred space, set apart from the secular world. The architecture and design of the building should reflect a sense of holiness and create a peaceful and reverential atmosphere for all who visit and worship God, His Son, St. Joseph, the Blessed Mother, and all the Saints.
